I’ve had countless dealings on craigslist, and to call it a “junkyard built on top of a minefield” is absurd, unless you’re referring to punctuation and grammar. The worst thing I’ve had happen is someone being flaky about coming by to check out whatever I had for sale.
Yes it’s true craigslist does not have a modern design that uses web fonts and CSS3, but I love it because in the end, true usability and accessibility wins. You don’t have to have a social media account, you don’t have to have any kind of account to use it. It offers up content without ads, paywalls or sign-in barriers.
Don’t ridicule it because it looks old. Craigslist is king for a reason.
