I love angular and the CLI is my bae. But seems like ng update never works as advertised. Trying to go from ng7 — ng8 did not update the ts-config to use differential loading, nor did it update my lazy-loaded modules. Some packages, like cdk, material, ng-express-engine won’t update because of incompatible peer dependencies. I’m forced to new up an ng8 project, look at the versions, and upgrade everything individually by hand. I am hopeful this process will improve in the future.

I also noticed there’s no mention anywhere in the update guide that core-js was removed. Should there be?
